St Neots Golf Club are offering FREE Taster Golf Lessons for anyone over the age of 16. The dates are -

Saturday 19th May 10am – 11am

Saturday 26th May 10am – 11am

Sunday 27th May 10am – 11am or 12pm – 1pm

Saturday 2nd June 10am – 11am

Saturday 9th June 10am – 11am or 12pm – 1pm

Saturday 16th June 10am – 11am

Fantastic New Greens Iron

The club have just received their fantastic new greens iron. It is the equipment that the club has wanted for some time and thanks to the help of Keith Walton, it is has now arrived. Centenary Celebration

Saturday 9th June 2012.

Centenary Celebration.

3 course meal, coffee and mints followed by dancing to the ‘Back Beat Beatles’ – who we believe are excellent.

Dress Formal.

Cost £40 per head.

This is to celebrate the club being 100 years on the present site.

Spring Gold Medal

The Spring Gold Medal took place on Saturday 21st April. The morning starters took advantage of the kind conditions first thing, with Aaron Kumar scoring an excellent Nett 66 playing off 8. The Gross winner was James Fitch with a score of 72. Both have earned their place at the Trophy winners Dinner in October.

Montagu Cup (marathon play off)

The Montagu Cup was played on Saturday 7th April. A large field took part resulting in the nett result having to go to a 18 hole play off between Mike Utting and Toby Boston. The gross winner was Gary Stevenson with a score of 73. The playoff has taken place and a very rare situation occurred with both players tying again so another playoff now needs to be arranged.

Golfmark

We are pleased to announce that the Club was recently awarded the Golfmark accreditation by the English Golf Union.

This follows many months of work by the Club Secretary Mike Truswell and Director of Golf Paul Toyer working through all the many facets of the award which is given for the work done with Juniors, new member recruitment and ensuring we operate the Club with equality for all.

We are one of only 450 Clubs who have been awarded this accreditation.
