The Junior noticeboard is situated in the competitions room at the back of the clubhouse. Keep checking the notice board and competitions folder to find out when competitions take place and put your name on the list.

There are competitions running throughout the year, for all levels of player. Please play in as many competitions as possible, this is the best way to reduce your handicap and points are awarded towards the “Order of Merit” for participation.

Notice Board

Every time you walk into the competition room, take a minute to look at the notice board. If the Junior Organiser or a committee member needs to give you information, it will be on this notice board.

Lessons

Group lessons take place during the year – look at the notice board for more details. You can also book individual lessons with the professional or assistant professional if you wish – ask in the Pro Shop for further details.

Rules of Golf

The rules of golf are very comprehensive but also very precise. No one knows all of the rules, but copies of “The Rules of Golf” are available from the office, free of charge. It is a good idea to carry a copy in your golf bag. Make an effort to learn the basic ruls – this is important if you want to play competitive golf without upsetting other people.

The Clubhouse

When the clubhouse is open, you can buy drinks and snacks at the bar (obviously with no alcohol until you are 18!). There is also a restaurant/dining room upstairs where you can have a sit down meal. Should you requires for example burger and chips, place your order with the kitchen staff upstairs. You can then choose if you would like to eat your meal in the spike bar or in the dining room. You cannot eat your meal in the lounge areas. Please remember to put all dirty plates and glasses back on the bar.

Snooker Tables

Juniors under 15 years of age can only use the snooker tables if their parent, guardian or an adult accompanies them.
There is no food or drink allowed in the snooker room.

Locker Room

When the locker room is closed, you can open the door by entering a code on the keypad. If you cannot remember the code, ask in the Pro Shop.

Lockers

If you would like to rent a locker to keep your clubs or shoes in, you need to speak to the office for further information. The cost is £25 per year, but there is usually a waiting list.
